This is an incredible, nearly 6” Charlie Bowie signed “CB” southwest Navajo necklace in the form of a winged eagle. This piece is framed in sterling silver with a sterling beaded neck chain, mother-of-pearl beak, sterling claws and carved lapis lazuli body and wings. There are articulated hinges between the wings and the eagle body. This is truly a stunning piece, and in the 15 or so years I’ve had it, I’ve never seen another example in carved lapis. This is a fantastic piece to dress up with an elegantly simple black evening gown or LBD in order to let the necklace be the main attraction, or dress down with designer jeans, a supple deerskin jacket and cowboy boots!
