Vintage Kirk-Stieff (KS) Sterling Silver Lemon Fork (4 3/4\")in theCorsagePatternRepousse is a heavy-weight sterling flatware pattern, completed in Kirk Stieff\'s repousse style, with a raised design(pushed up from the back) vs. designs pressed from the top down into the silver. Corsage pieces blend well with similar Kirk Stieff patterns like Stieff Rose, Repousse and Chrysanthemum.This is older, heavier piece has been very well cared-for.
Most of what I sell on was purchased second hand with an eye toward resale.Not so for this single family-owned set ofCorsagesterling flatware, from which this Lemon Fork is a part.
This Corsage set originally included eight place-settings plus multiple serving pieces. This set was inherited by my Husband about 10 years ago from his 80+ yr old Aunt. She was the original and sole owner of this flatware set (her wedding silver) flatware that I can personally confirm was used only on special occasions. It was always treated with the utmost care - hand washed, thoroughly dried, and put away immediately following each use (with my help during the last 30 years). In fact, during the last two decades of her life, this silverware was used only one time a year - on New Year\'s Day. In the past 10 years, it has not been used at all.The entire set is free of monograms and is in beautiful vintage condition.
This 4 3/4\" two prong/tine Lemon Fork (currently out-of-stock at the replacements website) is in very goodcondition. It retains its original shape and isdamage-free.... and specifically is free of disposal damage - there are only faint marks from light use.
