VINTAGE LARGE 14\" GERZ GERMAN BEER STEIN/PITCHER WEDDING SCENE RELIEF:

This large 14\" tall x 7 1/2\" wide German Gerz stein/pitcher is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. It depicts a wedding scene. The bride and groom are seated on a hay stack (to the left of the handle). A bag piper on a barrel is behind them. Everyone is dancing, drinking and having a vun-da-vul time. Notice the dog, beer stein on the ground and the sheet hanging from the house. The attention to detail is exceptional. It\'s like a painting! The bowed out bottom of the stein is decorated with wreaths, ribbons, hearts and flowers. Also a \"tie the knot\" symbol and carrots. Under the handle is 5511, which I\'m guessing is the date of the wedding May 5, 1911. The stein has the number 1494 embossed on the bottom, a triangle and made in Germany. The pewter lid is in excellent condition. Please examine my pictures carefully as they are important part of my description.
