♥DESCRIPTION:An extremely stunning rare vintage, maxi long, cotton/wool mix riding coat/dress in red, blues and greens tartan / plaid check ~ with beautiful, flattering & unusual styling by Laura Ashley ~ this is a lightweight soft wool/cotton blend coat which could easily be worn as a dress, riding style ~ either way, it is DIVINE!!!
Vintage Laura Ashley ~ 70s/80s, with a very 40s War Bride feel ~ and 50s Vamp ~ and also reminiscent of the Victoriana / Edwardian riding coats ~ taking the shape of the body into the waist, very hour-glass, and flaring out towards hem.....featuring a blue velvet collar ~ very slight v-neckline ~ a row of 12 blue velvet covered buttons all the way down the front for fastening ~ blue velvet mock pocket flaps ~ & full length sleeves with blue velvet cuffs. The skirt is long and very full ~ very fit and flare, tailored to the bodice and then flowing out over the hips....very curvy and extremely flattering!!! xxx
The back of this coat / dress is just stunning also ~ like the front it has been beautifully shaped with seaming that draws in at the waist creating that very sexy 40s style \'nipped in\' waist look, beneath the waist the fabric cascades down to form a gorgeous long, full floaty skirt which falls into lovely loose pleats. ~ The coat / dress is fully lined, except for the sleeves, in a silky fabric.
This coat/dress is just gorgeous ~ in the incredibly sexy & flattering victorian full length riding style with the unusual & striking tartan print ~ & the buttons make it so versatile as a gorgeous lighter weight coat or as a stunning dress ~ could be worn as a lightweight coat, over jeans and a T ~ or over a haute couture evening gown ~ or on its own as a dress, with boots for a Victorian / Edwardian feel! ~It\'s just so versatile & easy to wear! And absolutely ideal for special occasions, wedding, important functions ~ a REALLY STRIKING LOOK!!!
