VINTAGE Large Heavy Brass Bell with Jingle Bell Gong on Rawhide Cow Asian Farm:

Up for sale is a veryunusual large brass bell. Found in an old barn. I’m not sure if this is a farmanimal bell for a cow or a horse drawn sleigh.

It weighs just over 3 ½ pounds.The opening is 5 ¼ inches across and it is 7 inches tall. It has a marking thatlooks like a wheat stalk top on two sides. The gong is suspended by rawhide andis a jingle bell that is 1 ½ inches in diameter. The jingle bell also has somemarkings.

This might have also comeoff a stand years ago and was repurposed for farm use. There are twointentional flat spots on either side of the bell. There is one spot (see pics)on the inside bottom edge that looks like a crack that might have beenrepaired. The bell rings true and clear, so I don’t know if that was just partof the construction or not. Thebottom rim feels rough and chipped as you run your finger along it which pointsto farm use.

Great bell for school use,dinner bell, ships bell, bar bell, or you name it!
