VINTAGE / ANTIQUE BLAZER / JACKET
Old school or college blazer

Believed to date from the 1920s or 1930s
Striped design - the main colours being navy blue, duck egg blue, mustard and cream
Boating style - would look great with a straw boater!
It has a gold applique school badge / school crest - the letter N or H with a gold crown above it
Gold tone buttons
Composition unknown - feels like wool or a wool mix - possibly a mix of wool and cotton or wool and linen (?)
The gold applique badge is made from a gold-tone metallic thread which has nicely age-tarnished

I have selected \'Medium\' from \'s drop down menu andI *estimate* that this will fit a 40\" to 42\" chest (allowing a couple of inches for \'ease\') but please check the precise measurements given below to secure a good fit
PRECISE MEASUREMENTS
CHEST - actual flat measurement from armpit to armpit is approx. 22\" or 56 cm - making a total of 44\" or 112 cm
Measurement across the back of the shoulders - approx. 17 3/4\" or 45 cm
Length - approx. 29 3/4\" or 74.5 cm
In reasonably good condition overall. It feels sturdy and can be worn with care I think. It does have a few flaws - mainly several areas of wear/small holes. There are two areas of wear to the top of the right sleeve (at the front), some wear just above the right sleeve edge, two small holes to the top of the right pocket and another area of wear a little further up. Two or three other minor areas of wear. There is also quite a bit of wear on the inside of one pocket (not in view) and one of the inner lining edges is raw and unhemmed (again, not in view when worn). It also has a little surface grubbiness which should improve when it is next dry cleaned. Also, there is a small area long the edge of one of the inside facings (near the armhole) that could do with a few stitches to hold it in place (but could be worn without doing this as it\'s not in view). Some of the stitches in the gold badge have also started to loosen a little - not too noticeable (just below the crown - see photo). Otherwise good. No major stains. The stitching is otherwise intact. No unpleasant odours etc.

Although I make every effort to take accurate photographs, please be aware before offerding that, due to the limitations of digital photography and variations between computer browsers, it is impossible to reproduce colours totally accurately on computer screens. If I feel that the original colours diverge greatly from those shown I will allude to this in the description.

If your goods are damaged on receipt, please notify me immediately and retain the original packaging for possible inspection by Royal Mail in the event of a claim.

RETURNS:

Returns are accepted subject to the following conditions: that you notify me of your intention to return the goods within 3 days of receiving them; that the goods are returned safely to me, in the condition in which you received them (i.e. unworn/unused and with original tags still intact, if appropriate), within 7 days of receipt; and that all postage costs (outgoing and return) are paid by you. The refund is dependant on the safe receipt of the goods by me so please use appropriate packaging; you are also advised to send via Recorded Delivery or, for packages valued at more than £39, to use Special Delivery (overseas buyers: you are advised to use a trackable insured method). Please note that no refunds will be given until the initial payment has cleared (e.g. eCheques can take up to 10 days to clear).
