The pen comes with a MB box, with paper as seen inpicture.

The pen was servicedby a Montblanc expert from the fountain pen network; it has had the internalpiston mechanism complete repaired. It now functions perfectly, the mechanismworks. The seal is very tight in order to insure the pens longevity. As for themechanism when stewing the piston completely down,the piston needs toback-up firmly against the section, in order to arm the slipping clutch in thefilling knob. When you don\'t do this back-up the piston will not retract at allor only partial. So when you push down to empty the pen it needs to be veryfirmly turned in order to catch the piston, this is normal and usual for the142. The piston holds ink, and there are no leaks what so ever. The ink windowof the pen does not have the strips that are usual on these pens.

The pen has light micro dents, scratches on theresin, nothing very noticeable, but amazing shape for a 65 year old pen, alsosome wear on the gold trim as well.

Very rear 1950’s pen, amazing nib and in myopinion very flexible. It also has the sky slop feeder; this is consistent withthe model that was sold inside of Germany. So this was most likely produced forthe German domestic market.

Each nib is made from solid gold.There are approximately 30 steps from gold sheet to final nib.
