This is a bright and colorful vintage mother and her chick salt and pepper shaker. Considering the age of the pair, (probably dating from the 50\'s)the painted features are still bright with the exception ofa small amount ofred that has flaked offon the mother\'s comb and wattle. Both have the original plastic stopper in the bottom. There are no cracks, chips or crazing. The mother hen is 4\" X 2\", the chick 3 1/2\" X 2\". The word \"JAPAN\" is stamped on the bottom of each shaker.
