Offered for sale is a Spectacular c1930 Normandy Lace Pillow Sham or Table TopperThis magnificent vintage lace piece is absolutely outstanding! It features a gorgeous center of Normandy lace surrounded by very fine Paris Net lace. The entire piece is edged with fine Bobbin lace which measures 1-1/2\" wide. The piece measures 36\" x 21\". It has been backed with a soft pink satin or silk fabric to highlight the gorgeous lace. One end of this piece is a semi-circular in shape. It is not backed with the satin fabric. It appears that this beautiful piece was intended as a layover pillow sham; however, it displays beautifully as a table centerpiece. The lace is in excellent vintage condition. The pink fabric has evidence of water marks on the back (photos provided); however, this does not go through to the front of the fabric. There are a few very faint areas of slightly darkened age on the lace which is not distracting and is consistent with the vintage of the lace (photo provided). In summary, this is a fabulous vintage lace textile, it is gorgeous to display.A true treasure for the collector of fine early lace!
