SELLING INVENTORY........The Sterling Doll Company, fromthe information I can find,came out with a Babe Ruth and a Knute Rocknedoll in 1928. This doll is supposedly that model.It doesn\'t look like Ruth or Rockne but the uniforms were the distinguishingfactors; this is the baseball doll. It measures about 28\" or 29 \" tall and is in fantastic condition for its age, much better than the few that have surfaced over the years. From what I know it is missing only the belt. The uniform is very nice, a little dirty and faded a bit. There is minimal crazing or cracking to the head and hands which are some kind of composition.I have tried to put up some good pictures of what there is. The body, arms and legs are well padded with what I don\'t know. On the back of the doll\'s neck is embossed \"Sterling Doll Company\". This is certainly a unique and rarely seen baseball collectible.I would love to have it picked up rather than shipping it because I would not trust itcould stand the travel. The doll is extremely FRAGILE. PICK UP WOULD BE IDEAL. PayPal please. Shipping, packing and insurance will be $75.00.
