UNUSUAL & INTERESTING ~ VINTAGE FRENCH PAIR WOODEN CANDLESTICKS ~TALL CANDLE HOLDERS ~CARVED WOOD & ROPE TRIM DECORATING ~ SO RUSTIC!If you are looking for interesting room accessories, something unusual which you don\'t come across every day....then look no further...Charming traditionalVintage French PAIR OF TALL WOODENCANDLE HOLDERS/CANDLESTICKSBought many years ago from a house clearance in ParisProbably dating from the 50\'s/70\'s hand-made but cannot guaranteeA matching Pair which would display perfectly in any period or country/rustic home........Designed ina lovely carved wooden pattern with charming definitionComplete with 12 fixed \'rope loops\' decorating the base(I\'m not sure what significance the \'ropes\' hold, maybehand-made with a maritime or nautical theme at some time?)Overall measuring 12\" tall standing on 3 little \'bun feet\'Generous round base 6\" diameter x approx. 1\" thickDiameter 3.75\" across the top surface where there\'s a secure small metal spike fixture to hold the Candles in placeSold in very good strong vintage condition & looking perfectly rustic!No damage ~ being French I\'m not sure what type of wood is used...Best described as hard andsmooth with the original woodgrainshowing throughout ~ Maybe wood-stained at some time,yet thebase area looks lightly varnishedAs you\'ll see in the Pics. the \'rope loops\' have some age-related discolouration and blemishes, natural patina a little distressed looking ~ no damageat all, just consistent with normal wear, use, storage and ageSturdy items weighing 1.2Kgs for the Pair unpackedInteresting French room accessories ~ Perfect for use, display or collect and quite a talking point when visitors call!Both nice and clean & tidy ~ ready for you to enjoyIf you would like to view more pictures or have anyquestions please contact me
