VINTAGE, RARE CARLTON WARE (1566) COBALT BLUE TEA SET, SERVICE FOR 11, EXC:

Unique - Rare 27 piece set ofvintage Carlton Ware Tea/Coffee Service.
Has teapot, creamer and covered sugar bowl, and 11 sets of demitasse cups and saucers. One extra Saucer.
The set is in a Stunning Cobalt Blue color with opalescent inside, highlighted by gold.
From the signature on the bottom it indicatesthat this set was produced between 1926 and 1987. This mark and its many variants was in use for more than 60 years.
Shape number 1566 was, as far as we know, produced with the vertical stripes pattern. This is another well recognized Art Deco shape and form which looks amazingly elegant as shown in the photographs.
This is a vintage set and most of the pieces show that they have been hardly used if at all. This set is in excellent age appropriate condition. The photo of the saucers looks like there is a chip but it\'s actually where the gold trim ended during the painting. I didn\'t find any chips or crazing on any piece.
