At the top of the cap was a WHITE DOT, representing Sheaffer\'s lifetime warranty. On the caps there are a \'CROWN\' embossed.The pen set is in excellent minty condition, possibly NEW OLD STOCK NOS, never been used before. There is an intact sticker on the cap; and also an intact white chalk mark on the section, showing that the pen is barely used, as NEW.The pen bears apush-button filling system; and all the fountain pen, ballpoint pen and pencil are in working condition.This pen set is a classic elegance and has been produced to the highest standards of craftsmanship.This would make an excellent gift to treat yourself or for someone special. <sh023>

In 1912, Walter A Sheaffer took his grand idea of pen-filling apparatus that utilized a lever system and, with his life savings, founds the W.A. Sheaffer company. During the early stage, the company ran with just 7 employees crowded into the samll back room of a jewelry store in Fort Madison, Iowa.Thecompany later developed and earnsubstanical market share in the state.

In 1945, US Secretary of State James F Byrnes used a Sheaffer to sign the paper that brought the United Nations into being.
