VINTAGE SOLID 18KWHITE GOLD and 1.75 ctw OPALRING with ctw 0.10 DIAMONDS ACCENT RING;6.6 GRAMS,SIZE 11.5, EXCELLENT CONDITION!

Thisunusual bold vintage solid 18K white-gold ring isaccented withanovalopal cabochon (not a doublet or triplet) in a four (4) prong setting accented with 20 clear \"round-cut\" diamonds. Overall, the face of the high setting measures 1/2 x 9/16 inches and rises 7/16 of an inch from the finger. The opal measures (WxLxD) 7x11x4mm @ 1.75carats and the diamonds @ 0.005 carats (all approximate). It has a jeweler\'s mark \"2 V\" and \"18K\" stamped on the inside of the shank as shown in the7th exhibit.The ring has asize of11.5 (US) or a width of 21mm as shown on the ring sizing mandrel in the 8th exhibit and weighs6.6grams. It has been polished by a professional jewelerand is in excellent condition. The opal has a nice play-of-color as shown in the exhibits! This large size ring was worn with a ring guard (the original owner had arthritis and the guard made it more comfortable to get on and off). A ring can normally be sized at least 3 sizes (up or down) but I would expect sizing a ring down is much easier than sizing it up (since gold will be removed) and it would be wise to ask a jeweler if you wish it sized more than the rule of thumb three sizes. Note I have a two week return policy provided the ring is returned in it\'s original condition. This is a very unique ring!

Note: Opals are softer than most gemstones and are about 5.5 to 6.5 on the hardness scale of 1-to-10. Great care must be taken with opals.
