A beautiful vintage music box which was manufactured in Germany at the famous Steinbach nutcracker factory! The music box casing & figurines were manufactured & hand painted at the factory & the musical movement was imported from Thorens of Switzerland!
The music box is in excellent condition & winds by turning the top portion of the music box counter clockwise & pulling out the release peg on the side of the music box. The music & movements stops when the peg is pushed back in.
The Thorens label, which is still affixed to the bottom of the music box, has the song title “komm mit ein vogel geflogen” or “come where the birds fly”.
