Offered here for your consideration is the last in a series of oldcoin Squash Blossom necklaces that I have been listing. This last one is aSTUNNING high quality, Navajo coin silver ‘squash blossom’ necklace with aSterling silver and turquoise ‘naja’ or pendant. This beautiful necklaceconsists of56 hand made benchbeads made of Mercury dimes dating from the 1940’s, four ‘blossoms’ also madefrom Mercury dimes and six authentic ‘Walking Liberty’ half dollars also datingfrom the 1940’s. At the bottom is a large, heavy, classic sand cast Sterling silver pendant or ‘naja’ decoratedwith deep stamp work and a nice ovalturquoise cabochon of possibly Robin’s Egg Blue. Though the piece has nohallmark, the ‘naja’ pendant is guaranteed to be Sterling. Of course, the beadsand half dollars are coin silver! The necklace is strung on string and has ahand made half round wire hook and eye closure. I really like this one becauseit combines both coins and silver ‘blossoms’...gives it that bit extra! This isa very solid and heavy necklace with FABULOUS patina!! These old necklaces arehard to find and can only gain in value over the years! A classic for anycollector!!!The following measurements areapproximate: The central naja pendantmeasures 2 1/2\" X 3”\". The half dollar \'blossoms\' measure 1 1/8” indiameter, the coin blossoms measure 1 5/8” long. Total hanging lengthtop to bottom as you see it in the picture is 15 +\", total length end to endis 30” not including the hook and loop closure.
