A very charming vintage solid sterling silver brooch of a Ballerina, designed by silversmith Frederick Massingham of Birmingham, for the firm D H Phillips of London.DH Phillips registeredthe ballerina designs, and Frederick Massingham was the only Silversmith toproduce them.

The brooch has a nice aged patina. I haven\'t cleaned it, but I am certain it would polish up beautifully. It fastens with a simple lever catch on the reverse, which is good and strong. It comes complete with its original safety chain, denoting quality.

Fully hallmarked with the letter \'A\' for Birmingham 1950, with retailers mark DHP andthe Registered Design No.847735.

An adorable small size, measuring approximately 1¼\" x 1\"
