This Texas Ware bowl was made by Texas Ware Plastics Manufacturing Company in Dallas, Tx. USA & were very popular amount American home makers through the 1940\'s 50\'s & 60\'s. They have a speckled appearance & are considered highly collectible, especially in the United States. Texas Ware bowls are made out of Melamine. Known as \"garbage bowls\", these speckled tubs not only serve a use in the kitchen, acting as a container for snippets and peals & eggshells, but were originally called \"garbage\" or \"end of day\" by the factory & employees themselves, possibly because they incorporated leftover pucks of melamine or spare powders that were leftover from other jobs or wouldn\'t be used. This featured Texas Ware bowl is #118 and considered one of the most collectible. It measures 9 7/8\" across and is 5\" deep. the bottom measures 4\" across. It is light green in color & full of wonderful confetti in different colors. The bowl weights 1 lb. The bowl in in Mint Condition with NO stains, flaws chips or breaks.
