I haven\'t done a layered hardwood handle lately because it takes alot of time to do, especially if the guard, the spacers and thepommel have to be made as well.So anywaya customer wanted one so i made this one at the same time. I always get good responses when i do one of these so i fiugured you guys might like to have one. Lots of color, very intresting pattern and it glisins in different light. The guard is just perfect for the fit on this knife. I wanted a thumb area that wasn\'t pointed and i also wanted it in one piece curved type. I think it lookscustom but whats important is the fit, im sure you\'ll like this. This is a new knife and so is the sheath.This is an original blade from the factory when it closed. It\'s never been sold to the public andcame to me without a handel.The L66 has a real nice shape all by itself. Millions of these were sold and are still as popular now as they ever were.The handle material islayers of solidhardwood individually layed up to the pattern you see. The kaleida-knifewhich i thought is a perfect name for something that looks like thishas it\'s own bling which i could not get to show up real good in pictures. It has shadowns that kind of gives a 3-d effect. It has silver, brassand black to add so more detail but it also matches up real good to the color. The pommel isthe 701 Westmark style that is a pretty good feel for this kniife, and i did scale it down from the original size.The blade is sharp and clearly marked and the sheath is 9oz leather.It\'s thick leather and all new.Hope you guys like it.
