VINTAGE WOODEN BATTERY BOX DOUBLE-SIDED WWII ERA

Condition:

Pretty nice condition considering it\'s age. The exterior shows minimal wear, and some surface dirt. Other than that there\'s only minimal scratching mostly confined to the back exterior panel. No slivers or chips. The interior is pretty nice. There\'s a small hole adjacent to the stainless steel battery connections where I can feel a couple tiny ends of what feels like wires. The handle, and hardware are intact. Both sides shut flush, and the hardware is functional. There\'s only a slight bit of the paper that was affixed to the interior lid that does not reveal the manufacturer\'s name; there\'s some residue probably left over from the adhesive that held the paper.

Description:

Double-sided, hard wood. I don\'t know what kind. Three stainless steel battery connections labeled \'1,\' \'2,\' and \'3.\'

History:

I\'m sure this is probably from the WWII era. It was my Dad\'s. Could be military, but I cannot be sure.

Comments:

Please take great care of it. I\'m hoping it will end up in the hands of a true collector that will preserve its history vs. someone using it for craft-making or storing something in it.I\'m a bit sad parting with my Dad\'s items, but can\'t keep them all.

8-3/4\" wide x 4-1/2\" tall x 5-1/4\" deep. Weight: approximately 2 lbs.
