This sale is for an Elgin Timer, used in World War Two to time bombs. It is basically a version of the classic stop watch. The crystal of this piece broke as I was trying to close the back. I took an extra photo to show this (the last photo and the cracks are over the 55). There is vertigris on the keeper above the winder, and the nickel plating is tarnished and rubbed a bit, so it could be polished up. This applies to the inside covers as well. The jeweled movement looks great, and the timer works. I took photos to show that the second hand and the minute hand move properly. sometimes when I push the start button it won\'t start, but when I shake the watch a bit, it always starts up and stops as it should. I would assume an old watch like this would need to be cleaned, but it seems to run well as is. Standard pocket watch size.
