For sale is a great vintage estate World War 2 era United States military collectible. This is a solid wood case TUBE Radio Receiver model REO made by Crosley Corp. for the Navy Department Bureau of Ships. The information tag / badge on the front also says: Equipment consists of: 1 CRO-46286 Radio Receiver. The piece looks to be complete and shows a lot of wear to the body. The main body shows lots of scratches, lots of paint loss, stains, dings, etc. The front face of the receiver has a plastic window over the tuning face, This plastic window is yellowed, lots of scratches and stains, and has a 1 inch crack near top center. The black speaker cover also shows wear like stains, etc. The black knobs look to be bakelite, They show scratches, little dings and really need a good cleaning. The inside of the chassis looks to be all there, but Im not positive. The radio receiver does seem to power up. There is a small light over the tuning face that lights up, and there are 2 glass tubes inside that also light up. I have no way of testing this piece of equipment for functionality, so its being sold as is. Please view all photos for physicalcondition. See my other sales for more cool stuff.
