This adorable Easter pull toy was made in the 1930\'s by TrixyToy (The Durrell Company). It is a wonderful little boy riding a girl bunny. The same toy was made as a girl riding a boy bunny - same wheels, same design, just slightly different colors! The design is very Art Deco! It isn\'t marked.

The piece is in good antique condition. It is made from fiber board - layered cardboard that is die cut to resemble wood. In the 1920\'s the toys were made from wood, but the 1930\'s brought lots of cost cutting for the company (and others) to stay afloat during the Great Depression, so wood was replaced with fiber board that is about 1/2\" wide, and does resemble wood. It measures 8 1/4\" x 6 1/4\".

The colors are stenciled on, and have slightly darkened with age, and have a few age discolorations. The back wheels each have a rough spot along the outer edge about 1\" long. There is a place on the back that is missing a bit of color, and almost looks like something missing - it isn\'t! The color was sprayed on, and missed the inside of the cut, that is the cutout for the boy\'s jacket and seat. I have shown photos of both. The piece has a loop on the front, and a red cord that looks original. It probably originally had a bead on the end of the cord.

If you want to see the girl riding the boy bunny, I think you can still pull it up under old sales, or maybe through Google; the description I used for this one is the same that I used for the girl which I sold last January. I haven\'t deleted my pictures from the server, so it might still come up.

It really is in remarkable condition, and a really wonderful antique Easter toy!
