VTG 1940 Large 19\" All Composition Antique Doll Big Horsman Sears R Special Orig:

For your consideration, a darling big 19\" toddler child doll in her all original outfit. Jointed at theneck, shoulder and hip, she is all composition and I believe a Horsman doll made for Sears Roebuck Co., called a Sears Special. Shown on page 162 of Horsman book by Don Jensen. She has the hairstyle, teeth, and same buckle shoes. It does not say whether or not she was marked, however this one is not like many of the compo dolls.
All Original Outfit: Aqua wool coat with wonderful pink rose and ribbon decoration, matching bonnet over a dotted swiss white dress with tucks all the way around bottom. There panties are attached to the dress and she wears rayon stockings with blue stripes and white oilcloth shoes with buckles. The dress has a nick at front of hemline and some mending.The coat and hat have light shelf soil and a mended place on back of coat collar. Clothing shows some wear but not to detract I don\'t think. Still displays well.
Face: Chubby cheeks, eye shadow over working aqua tin sleepeyes that match coat. All lashes present as well as brows. 2 teeth with some minor paint loss on lips. There are some paint cracks under mouth and below nose. Also right eye has one at corner of eye and above. Otherwise face if nice. Please check close ups.
Hair is great. Orig. mohair blonde wig in original set. Covers well.
Body is very nice overall but has the one paint crack in side of left leg and crotch repair that someone did not paint.Minor cracks on other leg side. All fingers and toes fine and no neck cracks.Very little crazing, light if any, just the surface cracks.Please check the pictures as I have shown these faults. Non smoking home and quesions are welcome. Bunny not included.
