This great vintage fixture was built by me using good pieces of 3 damaged identical LOWBAY #685 lghts. Best parts were selected, cleaned up and assembled. Rods were fabricated from new material. It was basically given a quick wipe down and the discolored areas on ring were fine steel wooled and hit with a brass wire brush. It\'s ready to paint if so desired. I would leave it as-is because I like the look of age. Light originally was hung on BX cable. The original fitting was damaged and removed. An easy conversion to BX cable, threaded pipe or round cord with a trip to the hardware store. It should have new wiring before being installed. Socket is the original, and Mogul base size. Screw in adapters to reduce to a standard base bulb are readily available at most hardware/ building supply stores. Condition is as seen. Shade is crack and chip free. The original rods were too badly corroded to save, so I made a trip to the hardware store and fabricated new ones from threaded rod that was heated and carefully formed to match the originals. They differ slightly in appearance from the originals, but are pretty close and unless it was hung next to a fully original fixture, nobody would see the difference.
The last photo shows one of the original rods that was frozen solid and not serviceable. It will be included to use as a pattern if you desire a perfect resto to factory specs.
I removed the original asbestos shade gasket before re-assembly.
