Piece BLACKAMOORS2 boys sitting/2 teens standingFigural Candle Holders / Bud VasesbyBrayton Laguna Potteryof Incredible and Charming 4 piece set of Blackamoorsare hand painted in matching Green & White with Gold accents.The makers stamp of Brayton California is still visible on 2 of the pieces.Brayton Laguna was founded in 1927 and closed in 1968.I think these are from the 40s.They work really well in any number of expression on the younger boys is so adorable, more so in person.The camera does not do this set justice.The younger boys are interactive with the group and uniquely different . They have separate poses and expressions.Both are seated in different positions and holding taper candles as they look up in wonderment at the older boys.Both are shirtless and have striped green and white Turbans and matching Harem pants.They are in very good condition:one boy has a chip on the inside of his hand where the candle goes in (inside)the other is in excellent 2 Older boys are Standing in an offering stride.They are similar although not exactly the same.They are dressed more elaborately in gold decorated tunics with long green sashes that trail on the groundYou can read a story into the scene,as the well rehearsed older boys perform ceremoniouslythe 2 young boys watch in awe.Such an interesting conversation piece to have on a dinner table!The 2 older boys do not have any openings on the bottomso they could be used to hold a flower or 2 as well as a votive or tea light.I think Gardenias would be sitting boys are 5\" tall 4\" at bottom
