STUNNING EXAMPLE OF 80S ERA CHRISTIAN DIOR HAUTE COUTURE JEWELRY!

Absolutely EXQUISITE, important vintage signed CHRISTIAN DIOR haute couture MASSIVE gold chain & pearl Maltese Cross sautoir necklace ~ heavy (weighs nearly 6 oz), substantial and true vintage piece! This is beyond gorgeous! One of my best, most high end pieces to date.

Very elegant, opera sautoir length ~ please view all 24 pics as they are the best description. Necklace measures appox 35 1/2" end to end, and is not adjustable. Signed CHR. DIOR (c) on the clasp. Features 4 GRIPOIX GLASS faux pearls, accented with tiny clear glass rhinestone rondelles ~ please note there are 2 missing. Very easy fix.

Focal point is the Byzantine Revival Maltese Cross pendant ~ dripping with Gripoix-style glass faux gemstones ~ the entire piece is very 3-Dimensional and substantial. MASSIVE at approx 3 1/2" in length and 2 3/8" in width. Stones vary in shape, and range in colors from faux SAPPHIRE BLUE, RUBY RED, EMERALD GREEN, AMETHYST PURPLE and ORANGE CITRINE. Center asymmetrical stone is a blue pear shaped cabochon, it looks like there is an internal flaw, or a flaking off of the backing. Also note that the left faux EMERALD GREEN faceted stone is off center, and looks to have been repaired. Classic JEWELS OF INDIA Byzantine styling and Mogul-style jewels.

Pendant is numbered on the back with #3583 ~ this may be a limited edition numbered piece; could be customized (pairing the Christian Dior sautoir with the numbered pendant). Acquired from an estate collection of Jewels of India vintage costume jewelry ~ more to come this month.

SIGNED, ULTRA RARE, AND I WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED IF THIS IS ONE OF A KIND.

Condition:Excellent vintage condition ~ flaws mentioned in detail above. 2 tiny rhinestones missing from the setting of 2 of the pearls in the sautoir; emerald stone looks as if it was repaired/off center.
