Margaret Ellis Earrings from this time period are rare and very unique and many one of a kind
These are signed and dated 1987 or 1989 and are from the earlier days of this mostamazing artists career in creatingone of a kind works of art. I can\'t quite besure if it says 1987 or 1989.
These older pieces are very collectible and so very hard to come by asmost people don\'t let go of them .. ever !!
Her newer jewelry is also Exceptionally beautiful but the older jewelry is very Bohemianand Unique in designand many were one of a kind.
These earrings are entirely hand forged and possibly one of a kind consideringwhen they were made .. Obviously since these are entirely hand madeeven a similar pair would be different !
This style and design could fit nicely into many jewelry collections. Has a Deco Mid Century look as well as tribal andNative American. They are amazing so are also just fineall on their ownwith no other jewelry necessary !!!
These are 47 grams or appx. 1.6 ounces
These are actually a huge 4.25\" top to bottom
The Hoops are from 1 3/8\" to 2.25\" side to side
The Top Portion is 1.75\" x 1.5\" and is irregular in shape so size is hard to get exact
The Turquoise is genuine and appear to be beads and looks like a few may have come out and the previous ownerre-set them and there is a little glue showing when seen thru a loop or with enlargement .. that is how I discovered it myself ..These pieces could be redone or as someone suggested to me they could be replaced with other stones such as amethystor other stone or gem you like .. This does not take away anything from these fabulous earrings but want to make you are aware.
The turquoise pieces are appx. 7 mm x 5 mm
These earrings could easily fit into many different categories due to the size and overall design andhopefully they will fit into your wardrobe of wonderful over the top sensational jewelry !!

Margaret Ellis jewelry has been seen in movies including The Devil Wears Prada and also Sex in the Cityand has been shown in every major fashion magazine in the world.
Sterling Silver and entirely hand forged with all natural materials and as with most of her early designspossibly a one of a kind pair of earrings.
Truly works of art and in excellent condition except for the above mentioned glue residue where some of theturquoise beads have been re-set and you may want to replace the stones with something else.
Margaret Ellis retired in 2012 and although her jewelry remains absolutely stunning and beautiful the new jewelry is much morerefined and elegant... Her early pieces like this and the other pieces I have listed are from the early days and are for themore daring bohemian of us .. and those who want something very unique that few if any will have ..you will not run into yourself wearing any Margaret Ellis early jewelry
Margaret Ellis\'s EARLY jewelry is without a doubt my favorite .. very bohemian and tribal ..earthy and usually massive in size .. and these Outrageous Earrings are no exception.
This is entirely hand forged and possibly one of a kind..one of her earlier pair of Earrings and as you can see ~~~ absolutely Out of this World
