For your consideration, hereis a VINTAGE ITALIAN heavy cast iron GRAND PIANO MUSIC BOX with a marble top and a gorgeous sound working music box. The sound is probably by THORENS, the premier Swiss music box maker, and this piano sounds beautiful. It\'s very heavy, like cast iron, but it\'s painted and may actually be another metal. Overall, the piano measures approximately8\"front to back x 5.5\" wide x 4.5\" tall standing. It\'s in good to very good condition except for the keyboard which is totally curled up - I\'m not even sure of the material the keys were made from. It could be painted leather or maybe it\'s celluloid gone bad. (I\'m just guessing as I really do not know what it is, but it will be shipped with the piano so you can try to remake it or replace it. ) It does need a good cleaning as this has been in a storage locker for over 60 years and the contents from relatives now gone are being sold.Thiswonderful sounding Italian Grand Piano music box willbe a fine addition to your collection or a super gift (when restored) for anyone who loves music boxes and especially the ones with high quality Swiss music boxo movements. The PIANO will be carefully wrapped in padding and then bubble and placed in a box with Styrofoam peanuts for protection during shipping.
