This item is a vintage 1940\'s Gruen Ladies watch with it\'s original Gruen watch box.
The watch has a gold tone case that might be gold filled. But can not guarantee it since we have not looked inside the case. The watch case back looks to be stainless steel.
The band is a stretch metal link band that is signed on the reverse with \"USA\".
The top of the box reads \"Gruen Cincinnati USA\".
The crown reads \"Gruen\" and the face is silver color with gold hour markers and hands.
The face reads \"Gruen Very Thin\" in black below 12 o\'clock and \"Switzerland\" below 6 o\'clock.
This is a wind up watch and it is not working. The watch will require a repair and need to be polished or used for parts.
The watch case size of the watch is 17mm wide.
The box is a plastic box with red velvet inside. The inside of the hinged top is red and white satin and reads \"America\'s Choice since 1874, Gruen, Very Thin\". The underside of the box reads, \"Made In USA\".
The box measures about 4-1/2\" wide x 2-7/8\" deep x 1-1/4\" tall closed.
The watch box is in excellent condition without any cracks or damage.
