Description: NewOld Store Stock, just unpacked. Purchased in1989 for my former store. This is a beautiful 22 Karat gold trimmedRussell\'s Originals hand painted, hand-cast ceramics turtle dish. Each ofVera\'s items are individually designed and painted using unique glazes thatreflect the colors and textures of the Southwest. Russell\'s Originals are \"A Painting inClay\". The color of turtle body isbrown, eyes are black and shell top turquoise dustwith 22 K gold trim. Comes with original box.Theturtle symbolizes good health and long life.Vera Russell\'s art studio was in ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO. All pieces are handsigned by Vera Russell. Vera hasretired from the pottery business and she predominantly paints pictures in oil andwatercolors. Her pottery is becoming Highly Collectable and is increasingin value. VeraRussells Original pottery was a main featured item in my store.

Enclosed card says, “This artificial turquoisecovering the shell lid is the result of a special technique involving tenapplications of glazes on greenware. Thegold is real, 22 Karat gold which has been fired on and cannot be washed orscraped off.”

The Turtle Shell removes to show a smallturtle dish. The turtle measures head to tail7 inches and side to side at 4 1/2inches. It is2 3/4 inches tall. In mintcondition. Free of cracks, chips, stains, and crazing. A very nice piece for any collector. Would look very nice on a shelf or on atable. All of my items come froma smoke-free Environment.
