VTG WWII 40’s Military South Pacific Bath Pool Gas Can Clothes on Rock Org Photo Found in among my dad’s old military pictures. Some were in a labeled album, but these were not in the album. He was on the Navy PCER 852 rescue ship in the South Pacific during WWII so I am assuming that is the location. Per conversations with him of late, the ship would land and help rebuild, give medical care to the natives, etc. but he is 96 and can’t verify that he is remembering accurately.
Looks to be the area where soldiers may have started a fire in a 55 gallon drum—note the drum & the gas can. I also see some clothes drying on rocks.
Picture is in excellent vintage condition- no rips, tears, folds, etc., Any cloudiness is from my camera reflection and not a flaw on the picture.
