This is a 1930s to WWII era Osaka Mint \"M\" stamped 3rd Class Order of the Rising Sun medal. The set is complete. The medal is in superb condition and the enamel is perfect. Even the ring is in wonderful condition with bending at all. There\'s mild patina (that\'s the dark spots around the edges) and this can be polished easily. All the gold plating is perfect too. The rosette is perfect and hallmarked with a katakana \"SU\" on the bottom. The adjustable silk ribbon cravat is in near perfect shape too. This medal was probably worn once and then stored away. The lacquered case is in excellent condition with only a few tiny chips to the lacquer. The gilt writing on the lid is perfect. The inside is in excellent condition too.
