These unique,handmade cuff links have been created from two round cabochons of fossilcoral over 150 million years old.

Using a very fine diamond saw, thefossilcoral is cut into two matching rough cabochonshalf;these arethen ground & polished to reveal the beautiful polygonal corallites.

A flat scored area is created on the flat back of each of the fossil coral cabs in order to make a strong foundation for the metal links using an epoxy resin. The oatmeal & white fossilcoral sections measure just12 mm diameter X5 mm thick (at the thickest domed point).....very light to wear....

After a final examination, the cuff links are placedinside a decorative card jewellery box ready to besent to you.

Fossil Ammonite & 925 SilverEarrings....(Premium Collection)

Making crafted jewellery by hand creates its own unique problems. Cutting, shaping and polishing the often tiny fossils/stones requires great concentration! The cutting and shaping sometimes results in fracturing and the whole process has to start from scratch again. Cufflinks, earrings and pendants crafted by me can take over three hours to make!

These RARE & unique earringss are hand made in my East Yorkshire workshop They have been created from a Jurassic fossil ammonite, over 150 million years old.During the long period of fossilisation, the original empty chambers have been infilled with colourful minerals (mainly calcite). Because of their small size, it is difficult to make earningsfrom ammonite fossil sections..

For this pair of earrings a specially selected fossil ammonite is cut in half using a fine diamond saw. The two cut faces are then ground and polished to reveal the spiral chambers, The outer smooth shell is then meticulously cleaned of any remaining rock debris. This ammonite shell exhibits beautiful iridescence in greens and blues. A small area on the back of each fossil is scored & epoxy resin is used to bond the fossils to the strong 925 solid studs and keepers. The fossils measure 22mm X 18 mmX 5 mm at the thickest point....... a stunning pair of RARE earrings !

After a final cleaning & polishing, the earrings are placed inside a decorative card jewellery box(See example in photos)ready to besentto you.
