Very interesting Austrian cello, violoncello around 1730, project SMALL 4/4:
$6500.00

For sale is an interesting Austrian cello, most likely made in Salzburg and perhaps by Jacob Weiss around 1730-40. The cello is in need of restoration, there are some repaired and partially open cracks on the top and ribs but no soundpost cracks. The Austrian neck is a later addition, made by an anonymous master around 1850. Otherwise is the cello in original as found condition, this means that it needs a restoration. What makes this cello very interesting for smaller persons and also children is the small body size of 69 cm and the normal stop lenghts of 40,5 cm. It´s a small cello with full size measurements except of the bodylenghts. The tone of the cello in the current state is very good, although the strings are bad and the set up old. Please note that this cello is sold as it was found and as a restoration object. Please offer with confidence and please ask if you have questions, I am happy if you are happy!
The cello will be shipped by UPS EXPRESS SAVER - professionally packed.
Please ask also for your shipping cost, it might be cheaper then stated in the shipping policy.
