Very LARGE UNUSUAL Glass SPHERE/BALL, Ground PONTIL, Finely MADE, Unknown ORIGINIts a neat looking piece, kind of reminds me of a crystal ball.Was found with a 3 legged metal (possibly brass) stand with raised cherubs on each leg.Its a very large heavy glass ball, about 5 inches in diameter.Looks like blown glass to me, has a ground pontil mark, its hollow and not a solid piece of glass.Pretty well made high quality glass sphere and very round.No real idea of actual purpose, magical, mystical or purely decorative - just not sure.No damage to glass ball or stand, just some light corrosion on stand, ball is crystal clear.Larger photos below: Please review all photos and read the description carefully and/or ask questions before offerding.
