Item 2034. Very nice rare vintage book \"The Infant\". Overall the book is invery good condition for it\'s age. The cover is hardback. There is some wear to the cover, mainly around the corners. The front and back covers show some wear as seen in the attached photos. The binding is in very good condition with smoe wear.I\'m not sure if the spine binding is original, it appears to be a cloth material that was put on the back for repair. It appears to be very old as well. The front and back covers are deeply embossed.The pages have yellowed slightly from age. I have founda couple ofpages that havehad their cornersfolded.There are no missing pages.It also appears that the book had gotten wet at one time, but not to bad. Ihave found no hand writing in the book. The pages have not broken lose from the binding. There are266 pages of poems.The bookwas written by The Rev. John Mines and published in 1837.
