Up for your consideration is a rather unique artifact which I acquired back in the 70\'s at an estate sale in Upper Bucks county, PA. It has been sitting in my china cabinet since that time. I can\'t find any cracks or flaws in this wonderful piece. The only possible flaw was a small noticeable spall or chip on the bottom base. I believe this was caused when it was carved. On the bottom is a Chinese character or signature which I can\'t explain. I never took it to an appraiser and haven\'t the slightest clue as to what is written. I am forced to liquidate my estate items as my wife wants to streamline my stored and hidden treasures. I hope it finds a new home where it is greatly appreciated. I am not sure if it is actual jade or just a greenish black stone. I thought it was a Tang dynasty but I am not sure. All the Tang horses I seen on the internet don\'t have wings as Pegasus. It measures about 5 1/4 inches (122 mm) tall from the bottom of the base tot the top of the wings. The length is about 5 7/8 inches (149 mm) from tail to its mouth. And the width is about 2 3/8 inches (60.3 mm). The statute does stand firmly without any wobbling--I did keep it, in the china cabinet, on its side in the 40 plus years I had it.
