This is an antique violin by Stephan Thumhart. It is dated 1820. Stephen Thumhart was very famous for creating guitars, but he did also make violins. I believe that this may have been an experimental violin, which to me, makes this a one of a kind piece. The violin has a highly unusual neck. On the body of the violin, near the top, there is some writing, but, unfortunately, I am not able to make the writing out, except for the date of 1820. The label on the inside of the violin says Stephan Thumhart Amio 1820 Kon Hofuburgle in Murnehen (I am not sure on the letters rn) Geigenmaeher. There is a crack near the bottom, which I hope you can see in pictures.
