Artist: Laurence Bourthoumieux, also known as \"Toutsy\"(a wonderful artist who has designed many sought-after beauties for Hermès, among them \"Aloha,\" \"Brazil,\" \"Central Park,\" and the recent Grail, \"Mythiques Phoenix\")
Date of issue: Originally issued in 2006, on the occasion of the centenary of Paul Cezanne\'s death, in an exclusive orange coloration and sold by subscription only in aid of the Paul Cezanne Society, the scarf became highly sought after and was reissued in several additional colorways in 2009 for sale in boutiques. In between 2006 and 2009, however, the scarf was reissued in another SPECIAL 2007 EDITION, in the original orange colorway, to benefit another organization in Provence; this special edition scarf says \"EMBV 2007 - PROVENCE\" in place of \"PROMENADE AU PAYS DE CEZANNE.\" This scarf belongs to this EXTREMELY RARE 2007 EDITION - a wonderful find!
Design: Toutsy is celebrated for varied garden scenes and landscapes, and this design is one of the most beautiful and artistic, deriving its inspiration from the celebrated landscapes of Paul Cezanne (1839 - 1906), complete with the artist himself taking a walk among cypresses, umbrella pines, and olive trees, and, on the horizon, the famed Mont Sainte-Victoire whose silhouette is instantly recognizable from Cezanne\'s paintings. A true masterpiece.

Material:100% silk twill
Color: A gorgeous colorway that draws on Cezanne\'s traditional palette of orange, terracotta, ochre, and varied shades of green and blue. Tranquil and gorgeous, and perfect for the season.
Condition: 9/10. The scarf was worn only twice and is in mint condition, with no issues to mention save for a few faint wrinkles. The silk is soft, full, and drapes beautifully; the hand-rolled hems are tight and plump; care tag is present; the original shape is preserved. Never been dry cleaned or hand washed. Not a sale scarf.
