Very Rare German DWM 1902 Luger Carbine 1 Screw Early Shoulder Stock P-08 P08:

This sale is for a very rare 1902 DWM German Luger Carbine one screw very early version wood detachable shoulder stock. I do not know if it is an original or a repro as I am not an expert on these. From what information I have gathered from the internet and collectors, there were only about 100 or less of this version made and that nobody has ever seen or heard of a repro of this version. Make your offer, as if it does not sell, it will probably not be relisted, as I have some local interest on it. It is in very nice condition, and if original it must have been refinished. There are no cracks, chips, damage or repairs, or handling dents. It measures just about 13\" from the back of the horn butt plate to the end of the metal at the top. The buttplate is slightly larger than the wood, and was told this is common due to wood shrinkage, and could be sanded down to fit. The butt plate does have what looks like a split on one side and a light colored line on the other, but the split is not all the way through, and it is solid. It has a sling swivel that measures about 7/8\" inside the loop. The metal does show some blue wear, and is stamped 697 on the top. I was told by a collector that the gun that this stock is from should be serial number 21697 and that the gun is probably in someones collection. I was only able to find a few pictures of this version online, and no values at all. It would greatly increase the value of a carbine without a stock and can be numbered to match.
