VERY RARE~ Elke\'s Originals (Elke Hutchens) \"Bellinda\" Fine Porcelain 24\" Doll. LIMITED EDITION
Created in 1991 and are from Tigard, Oregon.Elke worked with Danbury Mint for production of these limited edition dolls, but these are Elke\'s Original LTD. Dolls (see pic of box)
These dolls usually go for $600 each in the collectors market and originally cost well over $700 each (see pic of price sheet)Elke Hutchens designed four sets of dolls called Cotillion A, B, C, and D. This doll is from Cotillion B since her name begins with a B.Bellinda was nominated for a Doty award. Every doll in the Elke\'s Originals series has a distinctly unique face. Truly a rare and beautiful doll for any collection.
Bellinda is approximately 24 inches and is aLimited Edition 01/400and was made in 1991. She is exquisitely hand painted in fine bisque porcelain articulated head, full breast plate, legs and hand jointed at elbows and shoulders on a stuffed. Fully articulated. Charming smile and freckles with amazing Gernman hand-blown 100% glass eyes. piercing blue/green eyes with hand knotted human hair upper eye lashes. Her red, very soft and silky, long human hair quality kanekalon wig with bangs, adorned spiral ribbons. She is dressed in designer sage color silk taffeta dress adorned with cream color lace and ribbons. Matching cream cotton full slip and bloomers trimmed with lace.
Hand number on the back of the neck and signed on the back plate of shoulder plate by the artist.
She comes in her original box which is in very good and sturdy condition (see pic). Comes with no COA or paperwork.
This is from Elke Hutchens own private collection. I purchased the lot and am now selling the final portion which are mostly first editions and prototypes.
