Very rare SHEAF OF WHEAT Coin Silver Tea Pot by John Crawford, New York City (c. 1820)Teapot: 10-1/2\" tall to top of finial, 13\" long from handle to spout. The teapot is covered with flowers, grapes and leaves surrounded by sheafs of wheat on lid with bulbous lobed body on stepped oval base,with scroll handlesand applied fruit and vines around base, middle and rim.Teapot has unusual and beautiful serpent animal-head spout.Tea pot is marked \"J.CRAWFORD\" in rectangular punch under bottom.Tea pot has a 1/2\" ding on middle of body and handle is slightly loose at the pins.
