You are viewing a very rare TV lamp from the early 50\'s. The lamp was manufactured by Royal Haeger, and features a woman/mermaid hugging a fish on a shell/wave crest. The lamp is among Haeger\'s largest TV lamps, at 19.5\" high. In my research, I came across a Haeger 1952 catalog that included this lamp, which originally sold for $17.50. (See photograph). It came in 4 color combinations, and this one is the Walnut/Silver Spray option. They refer to it as the Mermaid TV Lamp, # 6067. It is considered very rare and extremely hard to find.
The lamp is in very good condition. It works perfectly with a turn switch in the back. There is a small chip on the woman\'s nose. There is also a light crazing throughout the piece. From base to the top of the fish, it measures 19.5\" tall. Width at the widest point is about 8\".
