This is a Very Unusual Early 20th Century Steel Cased Pocket Watch Set in a Heavy Silver Base to Perform as a Paperweight. The base consists of a round silver tapered cone with heavy filling to give the requisite weight. The base bears deep and clear hallmarks for William Flower of London and the date 1913. The watch is a standard steel cased pocket watch with folding key wind mechanism. The white ceramic face has an Arabic numeral chapter ring and gold hour & minute hands. The mechanism is 8 day, but unsigned. Although the mechanism runs for short periods it is sold as needing overhaul.
