Very Unusual Round Hand Crafted Chinese Cricket Cage Made Of Walnut Wood:

Unusual and exquisite cricket cage made of wood. Made in China. Age unknown.

The octagonal cricket cage has four engraved panels alternate with four clear panels. The engraved panels feature flowers from four seasons.

Thecap of the cageis made of wood with pierced pattern in the centre. It has magnetic studs inside so it can be closedwithout disturbing the crickets.

The inside of the box is lined with a thin layer of wood beautifully made and expertly assembled.

The box is so well made every piece fit together very well.

This is a cage for carrying crickets around unlike some of my other cages that has feeding holes.

Keeping crickets was a famous Chinese pass time. In the old days there were even cricket fights but nowadays people collect crickets as a pet.

I have been collecting cricket paraphernalia for years and this is a very nice cage.
