A lovely old rustic Devon dial, John Vickery, North Molton. This is an early single-handed dial, which would look in a nice old oak cottage case.There where two clockmakers in the area, (North Molton, and South Molton) - so some rivalry perhaps, which would explain why it looks like it has been in a fire ! ). Early 18th century, will take a bit of work to clean it up, but would look glorious in an old Devon cottage.I have an old birdcage movement to list soon, which could be made to fit the dial by a competent person.On 01-Jun-17 at 21:35:17 BST, seller added the following information:
