Very nice early 1800s Coalport? Georgian flower encrusted porcelain scent bottle:

We are listing this very pretty hand painted flower encrusted early 1800s Georgian porcelain scent bottle with its matching stopper which was probably made by the famous Coalport Pottery (in their style commonly referred to as Coalbrookdale). Although the bottle and stopper are unmarked, the style of the decoration and the lack of painted insects on the bottle lead me to believe this is a Coalport piece, rather than an earlier Derby example from the late 1700s. The bottle has a nicely scalloped body shape, and an extended neck topped by its original highly decorated stopper. With its stopper the piece is over 5 inches tall, over 3.25 inches at its widest point, wonderfully encrusted with hand painted flowers, and it is in very good overall condition. Some of its gilded trim is worn off, it suffers from the usual chipped petals (I don\'t think I\'ve ever seen one of these encrusted pieces that has survived unscathed for 200 years), and there appears to be a small restored area on the bottom edge (see the last picture); but the piece is very cute and displays rather well.
