An incomplete quire with 6 of 8 leaves from a very scarce Book of Hours on paper, printed by the famous female printer Yolande Bonhomme, the widow of Tilman Kerver in 1557.

It is interesting that the regular text of the book of hours is in Latin and that the description of the miniatures is in French.
Size of each leaf : ca. 6.2\" x 4\"(155 mm x 100 mm).

Condition: As shown, on paper in good condition with the customary evidence of storing or ageing: soiling or staining, edge flaws, original flaws in the paper, etc. Leaves 52 and 53 are missing from the quire.

Pictured : First the miniature and then the entire quire in its proper sequence as well as the colophon leaf with the publication date.

PLEASE NOTE: The leaf with the date is NOT part of the lot.
