We are offering for salea lovelyearly Victorian silver mustard spoon in a very rare variant of the King\'s pattern.
Thedecorationincludes subtle differences to the standard Kings, in that the anthemion motif to the centre has trailing oakleaves to the lower half and trailing honeysuckle leaves to the reverse terminal.
This mustard spoon has a gilt (gold-wash) bowl and bears an engravedscript monogram to the front terminal.The mustard spoon would be used with a mustardpot to conveymustard to a meal, but could equally be used for all manner of other purposes - e.g. pickles and hors d\'oeuvres.
This is a reallylovely silvercondiment spoon in fine condition with crisp decoration.
MEASUREMENTS: 12.5cm (4.9\")long; 34.3grams weight.
MARKS: Full set of English hallmarks (guaranteeing Sterling 925 standard silver) for London 1838, made by William Eaton.
